The new Shears 54,000 sq ft distribution & logistics centre and warehouse facility in Dorset, enables us to carry out all freight transfers under cover, totally protected from the weather in a secure and clean environment. Shears Bros (Transport) Ltd have increased the storage capacity which now provides 2000+ racked pallet spaces. Our warehouse Management IT System (WMS) gives our customers the ability to log on via the internet and check the status of their stock holding in real time. This system logs specific pallets in specific locations within the warehouse which enables us to pin-point stock items for efficient retrieval.
Our warehouse facility inlcudes:
- Full height racking system for storing palletized freight,
- Cantilever racking for oversized crates,
- Flat floor for block stacking and de-stuffing containers,
- Specific "Pick and Pack" area for order fulfillment.
